Based on a painting or stain glass window, not sure which. Not a gentle image, but a reminder that the Good Shepherd lay down his life for the sheep.

Felt more freedom of expression with this one. Not so much a copy but using someone else's idea.

Exercise in colour and tint.

This painting is neither better nor worse than the previous one in the series. I started using magenta, cyan and the mix to give purple. She looked like a vampire! The tints of purple worked much better.  Hit a bit of a plateau of development with this painting. I would like to be able to produce a better transition in tint.

Allan's Dad - Bryce

This was a thank you painting for Allan, our rector at CtK and CGS in Germany. He chose a picture of his father.

Probably my best painting to date. A gentle homely picture. The painted photographs on the desk are probably the weak spot.

The motif's of Texas, family and faith were added to a basic photo supplied by Allan. The light and shadow for the additional items was tricky as much was guess work.

Given to Allan in February 2007.

Jenny doesn't want to be in the picture and so will have to do another as I like this one too much.

Tried to capture the likeness of a popular film star. Enjoyed this film and Will Smith's role as Bagger Vance, set in the American depression. I liked the clothes of this era.

I was happy with the result. The face is gentle and the light warm.
